How to put WordPress under maintenance? How to Put WordPress in Maintenance Mode with a Plugin

Install and activate the WP Maintenance Mode plugin.
Go to Settings > WP Maintenance Mode.
Click on the Design tab to customize the maintenance mode page that will appear to users when visiting your site when it's under maintenance.
